Pre-conference Tour

University of Melbourne - Sustainability and Grounds Tour

This year, as well as the pre-conference workshop, we also have a pre-conference tour available for you.

University of Melbourne – Sustainability and Grounds Tour
When: Sunday, 17 September, 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Cost: $50.00 (includes afternoon refreshments)
This walking tour explores the ways in which the University of Melbourne taps the renewable energy of the earth and sun, reduces waste, and creates green buildings. It also showcases the beautiful park-like setting of the Parkville Campus, visiting our heritage gardens, the largest ‘green roof’ in the southern hemisphere and our spectacular remnant urban Red Gums. Included in the tour will be visits to the new Arts West building and the Melbourne School of Design building

The University of Melbourne is located just north of the CBD. Tour participants will need to make their own way to the tour starting point (corner of Swanston Street and Monash Road (outside tram stop) – view/download the map).

View sustainablecampus.unilmelb to view information about the University’s Sustainability initiative as well as interesting facts and stories about the campus.

Tickets can be purchased with your registration.  If you have already registered and would like to attend the pre-conference tour, please email [email protected] to add this to your registration.
