The Tertiary Education Management Conference is organised in partnership by\u00a0the Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) and the Tertiary\u00a0Education Facilities Management Association (TEFMA) and attracts around 800\u00a0professional managers from higher education and TAFE institutes,\u00a0Polytechnics, Wananga, government departments, private providers and similar\u00a0organisations.<\/blockquote<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is the only Conference in the tertiary sector which covers the full range\u00a0of functions in institutions, and is designed to allow participants to build\u00a0strong networks across Australia and New Zealand. TEMC has a strong\u00a0practitioner focus to support the sharing of knowledge and \u2018know how\u2019, and\u00a0also provides opportunities to focus on big-picture issues as well. It\u00a0allows participants to reflect on their management practice in a regional,\u00a0national and global context.<\/p>\n

A joint TEMC steering committee<\/a> now oversees the conference from year to year, with two members each from\u00a0ATEM and TEFMA. The Conference rotates around cities in Australia and New\u00a0Zealand, with a local organising committee established with representation\u00a0from both ATEM and TEFMA. The organising committee chair also rotates\u00a0between ATEM and TEFMA each year.<\/p>\n

The Conference Manual<\/a> is maintained to provide local\u00a0organising committees with the procedures and policies associated with\u00a0running the TEMC.<\/p>\n
